Deepgoing Knowledge of Sleep

Sleep is one of the most familiar activities in our daily life, like eating and drinking. In our whole life about one third of the time is spent in Morpheus. Until the 1950s, most people thought of sleep as a passive, dormant part of our daily lives. But in fact when people are in a dormant state, the brain and body are rest, thus recuperation and recovery are made during this period. Improving the quality of sleep scientifically is the security of people's daily work and study.

During sleep, we usually pass through five phases which progress in a circle over and over again. The first phase is called light sleep. In this stage we fall sleep and wake up easily with slow eyes movement and muscle activities. When entering next stage, our eyes stop move and our brain wave frequency reduce too. In the third stage, the lowest brain waves arise. The fourth stage is the period in which people sleep deepest. Then follows the last stage, we can often clearly tell our dreams after waking from this period.

People are troubling from various sleep problems. A large amount of adults feel sleepy during day time, and in other side people find it hard to sleep at night. Everyone's individual sleep needs vary. Not all the sleep suggestions are suitable for people with sleep problems. For many people have the kind of jobs that need night shifts.

Then how can you sleep well? Stress can be a big reason. Usually the sleep problem disappears when the stressful situation passes. You can give yourself an extra hour before bed to relax and unwind time to write down worries and plans for the following day. So when it's time to sleep, just sleep without thinking other bothering problems. Only after you have a good sleep, you can gain the energy to fight off all the difficulties.

Don't drink alcohol or beverages of caffeine in the afternoon and night. Follow an irregular morning and nighttime schedule. Also it is a good idea to turn to your doctor for some advises and some sleep aid pills.
